This is a repository of gridded emission inventories (national and urban) by UEinfo, available for open-use. These are not official inventories for India or for the individual city airsheds listed below. These inventories were used internally for long-term air quality analysis and short-term air quality forecasting. The methodologies commonly employed to build emission inventories and establish baseline information are explained under tools and beginners handbook. The modeling architecture is explained in a series of working papers. Supporting information for these inventories is documented under resources and publications (including journal articles). If/When you are using these for CTM runs, send an email for any clarifications.
Inventory: All.India.UEinfo.v2024.1
The national database covers latitudes from 7°N to 39°N and longitudes from 67°E to 99°E (grids not covering India will show 00’s). These are gridded files in tons/year/grid for the calendar year 2024. Grid size is 0.25 degrees. The columns long/lat represent the mid-point of each grid (Note: pollutant nomenclature uses CAMx format – FPRM is PM2.5 minus BC, OC and CPRM is PM10 minus PM2.5)

- Heating (space) emissions [Download] – This is a generic layer and must be interfaced with the meteorological surface temperature layer (for example from WRF) to determine whether heating is triggered or not.
- On-road vehicle exhaust emissions [Download] – This includes 2-3-4 Wheelers, Buses (intra- and inter-city), trucks (big and small), and non-road activities)
- On-road dust resuspension emissions [Download] – This layer must be corrected before using in a chemical transport model. Suggested correction is zero emissions in the grid with at least 0.1 mm precipitation for that hour and 50% reduction in the subsequent hour (to account for soil moisture content)

- Industrial (heavy) emissions [Download] – This layer includes iron and steel, cement, fertilizers, refineries, and metal and non-metal processing activities.
- Industrial (light) emissions [Download] – This layer includes all activities documented in the annual survey of industries.
Urban Airshed Emission Inventories
These gridded inventories were constructed for the APnA city program and were used to construct baseline PM2.5 source apportionment numbers for the designated airsheds, using WRF-CAMx modeling system.
